A busy schedule will not derail my goals.
The month of November was a hard one. I signed up for NaNoWriMo and won! This means I wrote at least 50k words in one month. During this time my husband worked his tail off finishing a project at work. He was exhausted: puffy eyes, paler skin, getting up at 4am, a head cold that wouldnβt clear. I felt for him but I also had a goal of my own. Dinner was on the table, laundry done, my day job completed, and I wrote every night for at least an hour or two. I went to bed LATE, I was tired almost every day. I ate too many snacks, relied on coffee more than I should, and cried sometimes. In addition, our three kids make things extra tricky. I ignored them a little, sorry guys, Iβll make up for it in December.
Last year I didnβt participate in NaNoWriMo because I was scared Iβd fail. Iβve never been one to back down from a challenge and then I push hard to finish. This month was no different even with the obstacles (aka life). Yes, it was difficult. Β This is what devotion looks like sometimes. Exhaustion, testing the limits, squeezing it in even when you thought there was no time to be had.
If you really want something you will find time for it.
