What exactly is Badger Camp? Badger Camp is a month-long writing and creativity challenge hosted by the Write All The Words Discord server. We do two Badger Camps every year, one in March and another in October.

There are three activities you need to do to participate in Badger Camp:

  1. Set a writing goal for March and share it with others. Write it down and look at it long and hard every day!
  2. Work toward that goal and make progress.
  3. Badger the other writers and creators participating in Badger Camp to work on their goals, too.

That’s it! Super simple! Uh, this is 100% free, in case that is any concern. Find our Discord Group and more information HERE!!!

My goal for March is to complete my first read-through of Sleep Gym. It’s drafted and sitting patiently for me to get back to it. I know there are several areas I need to rebuild and plump up, and maybe a few that need to be axed. March will not be when I put the final touches on. I’ll go through and insert edits from my critique group, then sit down and do a read-through from top to bottom, making notes along the way.

In April, I hope to finish any structural changes that weren’t completed in March, move on to copyediting, and send this baby to the proofreader I hire. If I get this book wrapped up before summer strikes, that’ll be perfect!

New to writing? Consider joining our Discord group. We’re very friendly. Not a writer and don’t really want to be one? Good for you! Really! I mean, this stuff is HARD and probably the most stressful hobby/not hobby thing I do. Also, very time-consuming. Go play pickleball, you’ll be happier.

I kid….or do I?
