When was the last time you did something for the first time?

This is my first year doing NaNoWriMo. For those who don’t know what this is, it’s a contest so to speak, where you set a goal to write 50,000 words during the month of November. If you write the words, you win! There’s a website and a large writers community that participates every year. Lots of support groups too. If you need a support group let me know! I have a great virtual one to introduce you to.

I’m terrified to compete but this year, for the first time, I am going to give it a shot. With a plot outlined, characters fleshed out, and some scenery worked through I should be in a good place to sit down and just write.

I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.

My goal is going to be 2k words per day, knowing if I stick to that schedule I will go over.

This is crazy, this is crazy! But I’m jumping in with two feet and sweat dripping from my brow.
