Goodnight Poet: Book Review

Goodnight Poet by Rissa Miller

My dear friend Susan gave me this book as a lender to perk my interest in poetry. It’s not something I would normally choose as poetry feels like riddles and nonsense sometimes. I took my time with this book, however, reading one a night or every other night, and found I rather enjoyed the night time routine. Rissa Miller moves from sweet to sultry as her poems take readers on a journey through love and lust. Some of her poems are even silly and appropriate for children, however, the passages toward the end are most certainly for adults only. I think I enjoyed them the most. Great collection, I would highly recommend this book to those who indulge in poems frequently, or others, like myself, who are lyrical virgins.
